Yes. We do have heating in the kennels which we use as necessary. We also have a number of heated beds which are used at our discretion for our geriatric guests (heated beds incur an extra charge of £1.00 per night).
In the cattery all cats are provided with thermostatically controlled heated beds (no extra charge).
We like to exercise the dogs regularly throughout the day. Typically we aim to let them out early in the morning, last thing at night and a longer session during the afternoon. Some dogs will need more exercise than others so we do try to prioritise.
The only thing that you must bring with you is an up to date vaccination certificate. We are happy for you to bring in a couple of toys or favourite treats, and with new dogs it is sometimes advisable to bring in some of their own food – we will discuss this on the telephone with you when you book in. In general, though, we provide beds, blankets, bowls and food.
Yes. Cats from the same family may share a pen, and dogs from the same family may share a pen.
We have excellent relationships with a number of vets in the local area, however if your dog or cat has a particular condition, in the event of a problem, we would either take him/her directly to your vet or instruct our vet to contact your vet to request the relevant medical history.
At present we do not accept credit or debit cards. Payment is by cash or cheque when you pick-up your animals, though you may pay when you drop them off if you prefer. We do not normally require a deposit.
You pay for the day your animals come in but not the day they leave, unless you're picking up at 5.00pm.
Because we are a relatively small kennels and tend to interact with the dogs a lot there are a few breeds that, unfortunately, we are unable to look after. These are Bull terriers, German Shepherds(Alsations) and Rottweillers. In addition if your dog shows any aggressive tendecies whilst staying with us we may not be able to take them again. If this were to be the case we would discuss the situation with you and try to find a suitable solution.
